Please join the Rockford/Northern IL branch for a program on Residential Green Building. Although LEED is relatively well known in the commercial building industry, many may not know that LEED for Homes is significantly different from other versions of LEED. This event will help you understand LEED for Homes and how this dynamic, voluntary program addresses the critical aspects of residential green building.  Also, if you're building homes to the new state-wide IECC 2009 Residential Building Code, you’ll discover that you are halfway to LEED certification. You’ll learn how LEED for Homes increases market differentiation through third-party performance testing and verification. Additionally, Rockford's first LEED for Homes project, being built as an affordable housing single-family home currently construction, will be discussed.
